Hearts Like a Harley by

Posted in Black and White

Incase you haven't figured it out I'm a very sentimental person and there are moments in my life that are priceless .
One of them being the name of my future endeavor"HLH Photography .
While going through a divorce , trying to put pieces of my life together and worrying about and missing my son Jacob which happens every time I close my eyes, not knowing what was going to happen next is what scared me the most.
I found out that my soon to be ex was relocating a few states away taking Jacob away from me.
It broke my heart knowing this and our last night together I could to see this in his eyes as well.
Our time , what little bit we spent together between then and the day he moved with his mom was sword fighting , rough housing , and riding Sadie my Harley Davidson.
We shared crocodile tears as I took him to his grandparents house where his mom was picking him up.
I wanted so much to fight for him to stay with me but he didn't need to get caught up in more reality than he was already feeling .
I told him on the drive that if he ever needed me to let me know and I would be there the next day. That I would always do my best by him and he said the same.
That's when he said "Dad we just gotta have Hearts Like a Harley."
I knew there was more to it than just the name of a motorcycle . He knew how much I love to ride and he's experienced that with me . He knows that I feel that bike has a heart ,soul , and a strength that properly cared for won't ever let you down. HD has stood the test of time and at 10 yrs of age he understood this.
This is how HLH Photography came to be,"Hearts Like a Harley Photography". My little man gave this to me and just like the name I pour my Heart into what I love what I see through the lens.
This is the story behind the photo . Thanks for letting me share
