Black and White
Back in about 1975, I was driving up highway 89 to SLC. I passed this old guy and his wagon and hit the brakes hard.. I went back with my camera of course and struck up a conversation with him. He told me that every spring he leaves Tucson Az headed for Jackson Hole Wy to teach the the boy scouts survival training. I asked if I could take some pictures and he said why sure but most folks tip me a bit to help feed my boys here. I had no problem with that and this is what I came up with. I really thought these negatives were long gone. You can't imagine my excitement when I found them.

A truly nestalgic image of a days gone by.
The expression and detail which is captured tells a wonderous story of an Old Timers life.
The lines on his face and the wrinkles beneath his eyes makes you wonder about his life. The things he's seen ,the tales he's told, and the loves in his life .
Then you look to his mules and wonder about the stories they could tell about there travels and the miles hauling that old wagon from place to place. I could go on and on about this ole film photo taken in a younger day and time by an Ole Cowboy himself.
It's said that a picture says a thousand words and this is a prime example.
Dave Eller thank you for sharing this treasure
Of a memory beautifully captured. You are an inspiration to so many. Well done Sir.
