Bald Eagle, Alaska

This was a cheat for the right reasons. This was a captive bird that would never be returned to the wild. It had been shot, which smashed the beak and took out the left eye. Vets had glued the beak back together. It's minder was spraying him with water on a very hot day in Juneau at the top of the Gondola. By taking a photo I had to make a contribution, which was the point anyway. Yes it's a cheat capture but I don't mind admitting this one !!
