Clifton Suspension Bridge is one of Bristol's most iconic and historic landmarks. It was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and opened in 1864. The world's first modern bungee jump took place on this bridge in 1979, by members of the Oxford University Dangerous Sports Club; they were arrested shortly afterwards.

For me, this shot encompasses Bristol's many layers of rich cultural heritage. The picture represents its: maritime (harbourside) and industrial past (M Shed); economic significance as an important financial centre (Lloyds Headquarters); tourism (boats); and green credentials as 2015 European Green Capital (bicycles).
