Eilean Donan Castle, Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland

The iconic "Eilean Donan" Castle in the Kyle of Lochalsh.
I had shot a wedding in the Castle on the Saturday and because of its remoteness had stayed overnight in a local hotel.
The day of the wedding was lovely and sunny but after the ceremony the weather took a turn for the worse and outdoor shots of the Bride and Groom were impossible, a real shame.
However when I set off for home on the Sunday morning I had to drive past the castle again and the poor weather had produced that fantastic light we can get over here which makes bad weather a viable subject.
I pulled over at "Aird Point" North of the castle and got down low(Wedding gear was all stowed away in the Boot/trunk but the 400D and 18-55 kit lens at that time was always in the car with me).
I loved the resulting shot and that light ? Magical.

Its all in the light. The West coast of Scotland sometimes produces a light that just cannot be emulated in Post Processing. I know what you mean about the heart strings. There is something about being Scots that just stirs native passion.Hearing bagpipes has some strange effect on me physically. If I had hair it would stand on end. LMAO

@Gary....very mystical and touches the heart strings. Being Scottish is part of my heritage. Sigh. The auld sod.
