Hiya, my name is Jan Silversides. I actively pursued photography roughly over 5 years ago. It's been a natural order of progression, this journey. I feel that it's what was I was destined to be...a photographer. My actual first paying job was such a learning experience, not a true horror story, in a sense where as other might have experienced but the how-tos, the what to expects...well, I digress.
I'm largely self-taught but I have had many teachers and mentors along the way. I have an image hanging in a gallery in Bareclona, Spain at the Ubiquography headquarters, a dream of mine came true via see|me , where one of my photos was on a billboard in Times Square and I've won several awards on Viewbug and am a curator and moderator there as well. Currently, 12 of my images have been selected by Getty Images to hang in an gallery sponsored with EyeEm and are available for purchase. I've recently sold 3 photos via Getty Images. I have been studying Photography courses through an online school since May, 2017

Lastly, I live in Detroit, Michigan.
