Another abstract free lensing shot of a beautiful orange flower. Was drawn to the details in the tendrils and the variegated color. Nikon Body/Canon Lens - EXIF attached

freelensing in reverse macro with Lensbaby velvet 56...
and i do love rose ...

I love bokeh...all kinds of bokeh, and selective focus.
this is one of the reason that I adore Lensbaby lenses so much.
much of the bokeh were captured in camera and not a whole lot of editing.
colours rendered from the glass is pretty as well...

Shot with basically the equivalent of a magnifying glass on my lens. (bought a 20$ macro lens that screws apart, so I screwed it apart!)

This was shot free lens with my canon in early morning light, let in too much light but turned out very stark looking and I liked it.

Fell in love with the velvet texture of these petals, and free lensing is a great way to throw focus on different areas to highlight the great vein lines. Nikon Body/Canon 18mm to 55mm lens, 1/250, ISO 200

Another free lensing shot. Again taken with a Nikon body and a Canon lens. This time I wanted to accent the center flower detail as well as the veins in the petals. I shot this with the intention of converting to black and white for the contrast of the veins.

1/100
ISO 100
-2 exposure comp.

Free Lensing can be a challenge. There are some limitations with certain G type lenses for Nikon cameras...so, what do you do in this case? Improvise. This was taken with a Nikon body and an older Canon lens. Quick shutter speed, lens held approximately 1/8 inch from camera body with tilt shift toward light source.

1/125
ISO 200
