Punkah Wallah, Calf of Man Style, it was very hot!
In India and Pakistan, a punkah wallah or punkahwallah (Hindi: पङ्खावाला, paṅkhāvālā) is a manual fan operator. The most desired were deaf because they were always within earshot of confidential conversations.

Thanks to Pixel Studios, Cartagena, Colombia, who let me take several behind-the-scenes photographs of the post wedding images. Was fascinated by their use of a video drone, as a new piece of equipment, which they used from the newlyweds' exit from the cathedral to include a walk along the 17th century defensive wall under setting sun.

Practically every building on the 67 islands of Venice is sinking into the saturated, silty soils. The X's and single bars are the end caps of post-tension tendons, which keep the house, its walls, and its floors held together.

The eye-catching dazzle design is in honour of the patterns that were first used on vessels in World War One. They worked by ‘baffling the eye’ and making the ships difficult to target. Each ship’s pattern used unique colour and monochrome designs – to avoid making classes of vessels recognisable to enemy U-boats and aircraft.

The Dazzle Ferry called ‘Everybody Razzle Dazzle’ is the only operating dazzle ship in the UK and the design has been commissioned by Liverpool Biennial, 14–18 NOW the First World War Centenary Art Commissions, and Tate Liverpool in partnership with Merseytravel and National Museums Liverpool. Supported by Arts Council England, National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund and Department for Culture Media and Sport.

Looking through the ruins of an old cotton mill to the modern town centre. One of my earliest shots with a dslr, it still ranks up there as one of my favourites 2 years on!
