I realise that I haven't posted for a couple days for my 365 Day project. I have shot images but I felt that they were subpar. This is my Day 4 submission.

Whilst waiting at the car dealership today for service work on my car, I downloaded the latest film and lens from Hipstamatic. I was sitting at one end of this counter and shot the other end. I like the result.

Composite of a Full moon and a country road. Learned a new trick via the Enlight app.

Playing around with Enlight and I created a double image of my dog niece, Phoebe.

Ice fishing and pond hockey...quintessential winter sports for the out of doors in Michigan!

Meads Mill is a favourite spot for many. There's an old gatehouse and a small waterfall. It's where I practice long exposures.

The Snapdragons still bloom in our yard even thought we have had some frost.

I spy gourds in a candy and guess what...they're orange!

The app Enlight has such fun tutorials and this was one of them. It was how to create a ghostly image.

Dark, ominous, eerie, spooky...would you dare to all through these woods? I did to shoot the image! 😆😝

I was on a mission today to find some spooky trees and as I walked down this path, I noticed so much in regards to the vibrant colours amongst the bare trees and felt it was a contradiction of sorts.

I just love using the Hipstamatic app when I'm shooting nature. Today, I chose Tinto 1884 lens with D Type plate film (which is monochrome) and C Type plate film (the colourised version) to replicate an old film effect similar to tin type. There's a fabulous blur/bokeh effect and I felt it to the perfect choice for creating eerie and spooky images.

The Enlight app has so many amazing tutorials on how to "Enlight" your smart phone images. I spent most of the morning learning the technique to creat pop art.

My first ever shot taken by my new(at that time) iPhone 6+. I was impressed with the clarity of the shot and also the colours didn't appear to oversaturated. Now, if Apple could do something about the fixed focus...oh...well.

After receiving my new iPhone 6+, I decide to see for myself if the camera lived up to the hype. So, I plunked myself down and surreptitiously started to capture some mall people. These are those shots.

I was on a mission today to find a setting that epitomises spookiness. What better place than a Cemetary. People are just dying to get in there...

Ventured out into our backyard after a Spring rain to see what I could find to shoot. Armed with my ever at the ready iPhone 6+, I found that the lilac buds were dripping with fat raindrops Caught one right before it fell to the ground,

I visited an old Cider Mill today. Great day to go. Not too crowded, sunny but not too hot and the sweat bees weren't too active. Like I said, a great do to go. The river flows behind the Cider Mill with a well worn footpath. Home to many ducks who are used to human presence and will venture close enough to see if there's a piece of a donut being offered.

After spending most of my morning playing around with lost passwords and old accounts for photography, I decided to make use of those old accounts and snap some photos. I've been in a still life frame of mind for a bit. I like the fact this shot had leading lines, bokeh, textures and a golden hue.

Waling along the path, I spied a dinosaur footprint! Ok...not really but it reminded me of one.

I took a walk this morning in Rotary Park. Not too many people were about and I came across some very interesting tree formations. This one tree spoke to me. It's roots resembled feet.

Was in the backyard and noticed that there's been a frost already. Too early in the year but then this year's summer has been very chilly, cool and rainy. Summer didn't officially arrive until the last week of July. Then, it's been sporadic...

Having fun with a $10 lens kit by Craig. Not the greatest optic glass but it did take a decent "macro".

On a very hot and humid day, I went to Shiawassee Park near my home and was so thankful for the shade trees that lined the foot path.

Spent last Saturday afternoon at Belle Isle Park which is located in the Detroit River. Vast improvements have been since my last visit 2 1/2 years ago...for the better!

Gearing up for a busy season...again...for toy production! Yes, this is how the elves do it...caffeine! Shhhh..:don't tell Santa!

I like to take photos of bare trees and create a rather dark image from them. Yes...I got to the dark side!

From the recent wedding I was asked to shoot. I prefer people shots in black and white. This particular shot translated very well in blacks and white.

The Katydid...different angle and desaturated. They have a life of 24 hours and I suspect this one is actually dying.

Sitting on the front porch drinking my morning coffee...I spied a katydid on the carpet. I thought it was dead...it wasn't! Had to take some photos. The Katydid was very obliging! 😋 Katydid is a nickname for cicada.

The echinacea patch attracts these green bees. I always thought they were a fly but no, they are a bee.

Just having a bit of fun with experimental photography at the park.

Sitting at table in the park and I couldn't help but notice the textures within the wood. Time to experiment! That I did.

Hipstamatic has a fishe eye lens app and I played around with the different cameras and liked this lens the most out of all. I believe the flowers is a member of the Daisy or Black-eyed Susan family. Taken at Newburgh Pointe.
