Woodlice are not an insect, for a start they have fourteen legs rather than seven. Their are over 3000 known species of Woodlice but only 37 are native to the UK.

I had been to Palouse Falls twice before. The skies were always not very favorable, but this time I hit it just right. As I stood looking at the scene, there seemed to be a peacefulness about it. It was a perfect ending to a very long week.

One of my favorite places in the world is Lake Waccamaw, NC. This place is home, it is peace, it is solitude, it is family, it is happiness. I was blessed to capture this magnificent gift from God this past week.

During the Thanksgiving weekend, my brother and I decided to do the "opt out" thing. Instead of hitting the Malls, we went hiking. It was a windy and bitter cold day, but the hike in wasn't too bad. Once we got there, I did not feel the cold any more. I was too busy being in the moment. The thing that made this hike even more special, was I was able to hike with my brother. He lives in Denver, and is also a Photographer, so this was a real treat for me.

We just experienced a very heavy rainfall. I noticed this for the very first time. It likely does not show up so well when everything is dry. The things you see in your own backyard!

This vehicle was found on Gabriola Island. It has been sitting in once place since 2008 and it is now 2015. It is amazing how the moss has taken over htis camper and truck.
