f22 at 61 secs iso 100

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carries satellites from Launch Complex 40 in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The name comes from my viewing location for the launch, the Banana River. Exposure time was 176 seconds, ISO100 at aperture f/9. Lens was a Tamron 16-28mm f/2.8 @ 16mm. Shot in bulb mode with a remote release, so the shutter opened as the rocket started to fire and then closed when I was fairly confident it was going to be near the edge of the frame. at olde town Covington for fireworks...

Shot after sunset from a rooftop in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The rooftop wall kept getting in my shot since I wanted to keep it wide, so I had to balance my camera at the edge in order to get this shot. It was a long 15 seconds!

Another long exposure at Spyglass Beach in Pismo Beach, CA. I find the trick in getting a good long expo of the ocean is to really find strong foreground elements and to attempt to hit the shutter just as a wave is beginning to roll in - makes for more interesting water swirls around the rocks.
