Taken at the Imperial War Museum Airfield Duxford

Statue of the most decorated Marine in Marine Corps history, Gen. Chesty Puller. He served in WWII, Haiti, and, Korea. The statue greets visitors to the Semper Fi trail next to the National Museum of the U.S. Marine Corps at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia.

I had the honor of taking pictures in Arlington National Cemetery last year while a friend visited a grave. I watched a group of people visit a grave with a woman kissing the headstone before leaving. It is customary to leave a token on top of a grave stone marking one's visit to a lost loved one. Sometimes a rock is left or sometimes it can be a personal token that has meaning. I walked over to the grave site and took some pictures. I reached out to a Facebook page honoring Lance Corporal Eric Ward but I got no response. It was a moving moment for me.

I was at the New Mexico State Track & Field Championships in Albuquerque, and the Air Force Base is so close to the track that there's always military airplanes flying around. I was lucky enough to catch a portion of our nation's flag to help add to this picture.

Negative Ghostrider....the pattern is full. That line from the movie Top Gun popped into my head as I was working on this pic. The F-86 Sabre was a part of the Korean War and was before Top Gun, but I liked the line for this anyway.
