My sister-in-law listens intently to family stories told by her siblings around the table after a brunch in honor of the 80th birthday of the oldest. Lighting was complicated by the sliding glass door across the room in front of her and the bright yellow kitchen walls.

We had to drive to my hometown of Squaw Valley, CA. While there we noticed the surrounding mountains full of snow. We drove about 10 mins and came upon this area. He had never seen falling snow before. This photo perfectly captured the moment.

My first ever shot taken by my new(at that time) iPhone 6+. I was impressed with the clarity of the shot and also the colours didn't appear to oversaturated. Now, if Apple could do something about the fixed focus...oh...well.

After receiving my new iPhone 6+, I decide to see for myself if the camera lived up to the hype. So, I plunked myself down and surreptitiously started to capture some mall people. These are those shots.

7 of us met at 9am. to ride to the Tatooed Moose. Saw it on the food network and it was 3 hrs away. We headed out on the bikes . The ride was great despite running out of gas, almost losing a saddle bag, getting slammed by a car, heat cramps , and getting lost. The company was awesome , food ok, and the memories in forgettable . While taking a break there it was.

This my story behind the shot and the reason why I love what I do

This was taken earlier tonight at our last home football game of the season. I just thought it was a fun candid and wanted to share.

In 2014, a large section of one of the major expressways that had been under construction for months, reopened to pedestrian traffic only. It was a big to do with many local and state dignitaries officiating. The public was allowed to walk on a two mile stretch of the refurbished freeway. Michigan's Governor lead the group. It was very fun and a wonderful experience. It's very commonplace in Michigan to have these walkabouts.

This is Jasmine, and she is a Freshman at Jal High School and was assigned to take pictures at yesterday's football game for the yearbook staff she is a member of. Just as the Star Spangled Banner was ending, I walked up next to her and said hi, and as she turned I snapped this picture. I do this to many of the students at my school, and many come out great and end up being used in the yearbook. P.S. - I tagged it for the candid challenge, but I think I'm already over the limit so I understand if it's not considered.

Children are fun to photograph. The beach is fun to photograph. Children on the beach are thus fun to photograph...right? This little one is a handful, and I happened to catch her running up from the water's edge none too happy with the wet and sandy nature of her hands and clothes. I love the expression she shot at me when she saw the camera.

Was shooting some candid work for my son while he was training some athletes. This shot intrigued me because it appeared he was coming out of a hole in the ground.

Was taking photos of a conditioning clinic, when I caught my dear friend doing "field work" for an upcoming tournament. Volunteer's work is never done.
