Was trying to figure out from which clone factory these young ladies came. Their statures were very uniform and their faces uniformly comely. Almost as if the central railroad agency only wanted to make one size uniform and be able to replace the attendants with no effort.

It's been a while since I've shared any of my "horse show" shots, so I thought I would throw up this little candid of a rider getting a pep talk before her "go" in a trail class.

Taken @ Dhaka cantonment railway station,

Safety tug drops behind Coral Princess at entrance to Gatun Locks, Panama Canal, while the electric train engine awaits tying on to guide ship along locks with less than 2 feet of clearance on each side. Ships propel themselves through while up to 8 paired, electric railroad engines keep ship in middle of lock chamber with cables through capstan drives.

Long exposure of rail cars sitting on the tracks at a grain storage facility in the town I live. I used a spot light to light the rail cars.

I love this group. I'm inspired to try new things from the members that post their work, and I'm also "reminded" of photos I have that might just need a different type of edit. This idea is one I got from Darren Eves when he posted a similar picture a few hours ago. I'm not trying to copy his style, yet just seeing what his style for his photo does for my photo. I didn't ask for settings or editing tips, just tried to see what I could do. Thanks Darren!

This is only my second attempt at trying HDR editing...

It's all about the feeling...the world moves quickly.

Wild fun edit of a steam-train photo.

Steam train shot on the east lancs railway, originally I was going to use HDR on the train to bring more detail on the platform, in the process I lost the detail and actually liked it more!

Shot taken at the Branson Scenic Railway in Branson,Missouri. Post processing using Photoshop CS6 with Fractilus plugin. The wide angle 16mm really creates some nice sun flares as well :)
