Found this image interesting with the early morning sun glancing off a Denver, CO, skyscraper behind shaded trees and bike racks.

Watched the sunrise create a horizon shadow line along the Front Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The circular area in the foreground is a splash fountain for children during the heat of the day; in the mid ground is the lake, its boathouse, and a water jet fountain, with the Denver skyline below the Rocky Mountain peaks.

Made use of tall park trees to frame downtown Denver, CO, during blue hour. Intentionally, cropped out the streetlight in camera, but found the flare added to the image appearing to provide some of the light for the foreground.

Spotted this potential shot while approaching a group of fellow photographers gathered to take blue hour photographs of the Denver skyline against the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Took several shots from the area where they were gathered, then moved back to catch this image. Was amazed at how few actually moved from their initial set up location to change their viewpoint or perspective.

American flag flies proudly atop Larimer Square Clock Tower in the middle of Denver, CO, 16th Street Mall jut before July 4th.

From an interior terrace of the Chinese Imperial Palace's Forbidden City, the ancient roof lines provide an artificial horizon line for both the the modern skyline of Beijing and a new soaring white domed, Buddhist stupa.

"Learning to Fly" One of two gargoyle statues that sit atop the three story Iron Bird Lofts in the Mural District of Downtown Fresno. The sculptures have drawn both praise and criticism. I'm a fan.

A pre-dawn scene on Congress Street in Austin, Texas. The Capitol Dome looms in the background with an ominous red glow, while the streets are lit only by the glow of headlights. Red and green traffic lights, and an array of white "christmas" lights gently dot the canvas of this quiet, peaceful scene.

Gilded lions heads spout water in public fountain in atrium of mall in Oranjestad, Aruba. One of a series of travel photographs, which will become icons on my business card showcasing my best works to potential clients.

Santorini Island, Greece, is famous for its blue domed, Greek Orthodox chapels nestled among it white washed homes and shops, which climb the steep sides of a still active volcanic caldera.

This was taken in the Provincial Park of Barkerville in the interior of British Columbia Canada. This was a major city during the gold rush.

This is an old power building for the railway here in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia Canada

For me, this shot encompasses Bristol's many layers of rich cultural heritage. The picture represents its: maritime (harbourside) and industrial past (M Shed); economic significance as an important financial centre (Lloyds Headquarters); tourism (boats); and green credentials as 2015 European Green Capital (bicycles).

I couldn't make up my mind whether I preferred it in colour or black and white so apologies they're both up.

Just testing out my new body and ended up liking this shot quite a bit!

This is a shot of NYC looking towards Times Square. Photo taken from the 86th floor observatory of the Empire State Building.

My first time urban exploring was to a former grandiose retirement home called Arnold Home. Located in Detroit, Michigan. Open during the fifties, sixties and seventies only to be closed in the eighties. Ravished by scrappers in search of copper pipes, it was a weirdly, eerie experince but I'm hooked. This image is what was left of the grand piano that graced the reception area.

A complicated bit of white balancing going on, with different colored light sources. I managed to find a happy medium without selectively adjusting the WB.

Long exposure, 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L. This heavy lens needs a really sturdy tripod at night.
