Challenged to break the photography rules recently and came out with this. Actually like this image of a lingering daisy touched by rain.

A late blooming sunflower drinks in the early morning sun just north of Denver International Airport.

This particular front angle of the butterfly makes me giggle because of its comical effect. :D

Male Ringed Plover, difficult to photograph as they are very well camoflaged. You get near, they fly! About 6" long.

I never noticed how much beauty there is in the common grass that grows in any field. I knelt down and shot this image on Thursday, where I park when shooting photos of herons from my kayak. I had loaded up and was ready to drive away, when it occurred to me to take a photo of the grass where I park and unload the kayak. I particularly like how the 'grass bokeh' turned out on the right side of the photo. Any comments most welcome!

I noticed this little beetle glinting when I was keeping a close watch on the bumble bee.

In my daughter's garden

These flowers are really small. It's amazing how much more detail I can see on the image compared with the naked eye.

I was walking Ruby Dog when I saw these. They really brightened up the pavement and as it wasn't too far from my house, I went and got the camera.

I came across this grey squirrel trying to eat in peace and quiet in Hyde Park, and then I came along...

Despite being battered by the wind and the rain, many of its petals munched away by bugs and also trodden on by Ruby Dog, this daisy still looks lovely to me. :)

It was such a lovely evening after work. I couldn't resist popping out into the garden to see what everything was looking like. :)

It's been so mild for much of the time, I'm not sure whether these berries signify Winter or Spring.

I always love the ornaments on my parent's Christmas Tree...this one provided just an amazing amount of fine and detailed bokeh!

I like to drive around my little area looking for interesting photo opportunities. I found this tree in front of a house out in the country and probably spent 10 minutes shooting the leaves, which were so beautifully interesting to me. This photograph has a fuzzy socks, warm coco, curl up on the couch with a good movie kind of feeling to me.

I was walking Ruby Dog in the woods and saw this dainty pair of pink flowers hiding amidst the undergrowth. An insect had been on the right hand flower, it's clearly visible it's been stripped bare of its pollen as a result.

Found this little "heart shaped pod" on a walk down by a local creek.

Another creation of the mind...this is what happens when you're alone at night in the house with a camera, flowers and lots and lots of old books.

One of my happiest flower images. I loved the lighting, and the straight lines in different sections of the frame made this one of my more favorite floral images.
