"The Grandeur of Yosemite" I had the opportunity to take my cousin to Yosemite for the first time while he was visiting me from Mexico. He stated that it is the most beautiful place that he has ever seen and was blown away with the grandeur of Yosemite. It's awesome to see someone experience Yosemite for the first time.

Sheldrakes is a Restaurant on the banks of the River Dee

Taken a long time and to my delight rediscovered!

Another contribution to this week's challenge, #bwstilllifechallenge and this weeks assignment, "#aroundthehouse

This photograph took me about 2 years to make.When I first saw this tree it was mid summer 2 years earlier. I knew It would be a good photo opp some day with the right conditions. So every once in a while I would take a hour drive to Maryland on my way to a cool water fall and check this dead tree and the conditions! On this day they were right on! Slow moving clouds clear no humidity just enough breeze to blow the corn that was just about ready for harvesting .

Took this while out with one of my photography meetup groups. Thought I'd get a few of them also getting shots of, and from, the bridge.

Buskers can plant themselves anywhere downtown. Where is there a better chance at a few dollars than in the financial district?

Calgary isn't a large city (1.2M) and we have a long winter so we don't see the number of street people that other cities have. Life is tough for those that are here.

I took my first ride ever on an NYC subway this last summer. I've always heard they can be dark and gritty, so it guided my edit of the image. Honestly, my experience wasn't too bad. I think the stereotype is probably based on a few bad times rather than the norm. Either way, it sure beat the hell out of walking!
