Spotted this potential shot while approaching a group of fellow photographers gathered to take blue hour photographs of the Denver skyline against the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Took several shots from the area where they were gathered, then moved back to catch this image. Was amazed at how few actually moved from their initial set up location to change their viewpoint or perspective.

Early in September, before the fall colors really got going, I found this one tree with some color on it. This was a place called Lower Lewis Falls, in Washington. I had seen a lot of images from this place, and wanted to try for something a bit different.

I gave this tunnel of trees a very dark edit by increasing the contrast and shadows whilst decreasing highlights and brightness to create the feel of walking down an eerie path.

I was on a mission today to find a setting that epitomises spookiness. What better place than a Cemetary. People are just dying to get in there...

To enhance the creepiness of this building, I choose to shoot from a side angle to emphasise shadows and give it the appearances of being haunted! Beware..,you're being watched.

In 2014, a large section of one of the major expressways that had been under construction for months, reopened to pedestrian traffic only. It was a big to do with many local and state dignitaries officiating. The public was allowed to walk on a two mile stretch of the refurbished freeway. Michigan's Governor lead the group. It was very fun and a wonderful experience. It's very commonplace in Michigan to have these walkabouts.

The Carillion Tower on the newly renamed state park of Belle Isle which is located in the middle of the Detroit River. Very clean, family and pet friendly, perfect for watching boats and freighters make their way up and down the river. There's picnic areas and also a public beach with The Detroit Yacht Club close by.

Newburgh Pointe is my fave haunt at historic Hines Park. I come here often and always seem to be drawn to the way the canoes are arranged. This is fave shot of mine and I want to share it.

The site of a former landfill., Dead Man's Hill is a haven for sledders, snow boarders and tobogganners alike. Located in historic Hines Park in Westland, Mi.
There's a sign at the foot of the hill that reads: " Area unsupervised. Use at your own risk."! How fitting!

At the top of my favourite hiking trail. The view from Mount. Tzouhalem. Local legend says the old Chief Tzouhalem would throw his wives off the crest where the cross is standing when he tired of them and take a new wife. Rumour has it he had up to 40 wives. Most commonly heard number is 11. I say a little prayer for them everytime I stand there and look out at all there is to see in the valley. And another little prayer when I look up and see that white faced cross looking down on us.

Smoky skies have turned the sun into a big red ball. While waiting for it to crest the mountain last night at sunset I was just playing around and fell in love with this shot.
Of course my son woke up JUUUST as it crested so no cresting shots were had... He knows when I am shooting, eating, and reading... Without fail.

Part of the charm of a local resale shop, was this pink bicycle parked out in front with flowers in the basket. I toyed with the idea of buying but upon closer inspection, I found it that the cost to fix it would outweigh the purchase price.
Sadly, the shop and bike have left the area.
This image is my entry for the Ubiquography Project.
