Woodlice are not an insect, for a start they have fourteen legs rather than seven. Their are over 3000 known species of Woodlice but only 37 are native to the UK.

This insect was pretty small and I couldn't really make out what it was. I did freak out a little when I saw it on screen. I don't know what it is, hence the title.

These flowers are really small. It's amazing how much more detail I can see on the image compared with the naked eye.

I really like the way you can see which way the wind is blowing from the direction in which the pollen is flying away.

My first attempt with a new lens....lots of practice needed!

It's been proper wintry weather for much of the week, with lovely sunny and frosty mornings. However, I was at work and now it's the weekend, it's back to blowing a hooley with heavy rain. Nevertheless, I now have an image that resembles asteroids in macro outer space. :)

This makes me think of softly whipped cream.

The weather's been so awful, it's been making me grumpy because I can't go out to try some macro photography. However, someone must have felt sorry for me because whilst it was raining when I was out walking Ruby Dog, it stopped just for a few moments upon returning home. I popped straight out into the garden and had a go at this. Not sure I was supposed to peer directly at the sun trying to come out through the droplet, before it was completely covered again with cloud again...

I've not had time for much photography practice lately and, I think I've also gone off it. :( I forced myself outside to have a go after a heavy rain shower.

This spider was CHARGING my camera!! And when I zoomed right in (about 5x the size of this image) he came running at my camera and I yelped and jumped away and then laughed at myself cause I am NOT afraid of Jumpers, just big spiders. Eyes playing tricks!! But Icouldn't believe he charged me several times and then I felt guilty and left him alone.

Orson bumped my arm while I was editing the curves on this one, ended up liking it so saved a copy.

Been out dewing again.

I was crouched down as close as I could get to the ground in my white dress and sandals trying to get this shot when a jogger ran by and probably wondered "What the hell?" and asked me what I was shooting the ground for. "Oh, grass!" He said... " Most of us just run right past"

Didn't get my dress dirty though. So its a win.

Funny what you do to get a photo when your with photography friends.
