Shot from one kayak to the other, where the moth had landed in a very obscure location. The sun happened to be reaching where it sat, and I was able to capture this photo.

The app Enlight has such fun tutorials and this was one of them. It was how to create a ghostly image.

I like what clematis flowers bud into after they die. They turn into a sort of feathered puff.

Another shot, showing the sheer size of these creatures, and how close they are willing to get to humans. Amazing.

An amazing experience to be so close to such enormous creatures.

I did not see this spider until I had taken several photos of this pollinator I have just recently started seeing around. I was out with my son at the grandparents dog kennel and stopped to take a couple of photos, as it was the biggest one of these little hovering pollinators I had seen and low and behold this perfectly invisible spider beat me to it! It was still twitching. Life is brutal even on a tiny scale.
Pretty proud of this photo to be honest, one of my recent favourites.
Likely on the macro setting on my camera wheel, but definitely handheld on manual focus with my kit lens standing by the stinkiest dog poo cooking in the sun!! TMI I know but that's the kind of thing will mess with a person's concentration! LOL
