We had to drive to my hometown of Squaw Valley, CA. While there we noticed the surrounding mountains full of snow. We drove about 10 mins and came upon this area. He had never seen falling snow before. This photo perfectly captured the moment.

It was exciting to take a little day trip to the nearby foothills where it is almost looking like a Hallmark Christmas Card.

The Summit of Mont Blanc 4810 metres above sea level, is on the right of the mountain opposite... The whole Massif is called Mont Blanc and it has various Aiguilles or rock spires which are mountains in themselves... The Glacier opposite is called the Bosson Glacier and Chamonix is below to the left... The Brevent Mountain is to the right on the opposite side of the valley to Mont Blanc and is more accessible ... the cable car goes to the top of the Brevent. The storm clouds on the summit are amazing ...

The Auroras put on a show last night. It was cold up on that mountain, but so worth it. Elk were still bugling in the distance. Taken in Central Washington State.

Frost is but slender weeks away,
Tonight the sunset glow will stay,
Swing to the north and burn up higher
And Northern Lights wall earth with fire.

As I sat watching the storm cloud roll over the hills towards me. Suddenly the sun broke through the clouds at sunset and lit up the Aspens.

A small lake outside of Fairplay, Colorado reflects the fall aspens as the sun sets on a beautiful weekend.

Dramatic sky on the road home.

Snooper's Rock, Chattanooga, TN, at Sunrise with my gracious guide's trail dog, Ella. This is located in Prentice Cooper State Park. The heavy fog bank is hovering above the winding Tennessee River.

This was taken at the Grand Tetons National Park in 2014..
Coming from Yellowstone, it just stormed.
One of my favorite photos of all times.. and the first photo to be printed and canvased to be hanging on the walls in my home. This image is the first that I have ever taken that has won multiple online awards, recognition and promotions with my first DLSR Camera a Nikon D60.

It was a fantastic runaway day to the nearby Sequoia National Park. Little did I know a storm would roll in, changing the lighting and mood of the day and the resulting images.

Watched the California Storm roll in while at Sequoia National Park. I love that you can see the rain in the distance and the layers of mountain ranges. The sky opened up and dumped on our way down the hill!(image)

You have to earn this view - it's quite a hike to make your way to this feature, starting at around 9K elevation, and going up from there. Rocky Mountain National Park.
