In the UK we only get small ants, but this was a fun shoot.

Painted on a garage up and over door, you can see the handle hole! The lines of the structure add to the sinister effect!?

Incredibly bored due to the incessant rain and featureless skies of late, I spotted my daughters shoes

This lovely lady was perched, and chattering away, as I brought my camera up, she decided to take off...

Recent still life emphasizing my 1950s, plastic, puffy horse ornament. My brother and I argued for almost 20 years whose was this horse and whose was the puffy yellow clown; I won when I established my family and household first and selected this among other personal ornaments.

This lady sat so pretty for me as I snapped her picture. Then she just turned and screamed at me...lol

Though what stands before me seems strong in stature, once brought down becomes rubble.
Where as I , rooted deep will return to test a brand new day

This is a composite as the parents wanted to take pictures using this bridge as a background. I did not think it was very safe for children and was not going to venture down the 45 degree access and take a chance of my equipment landing in the drink. Next best thing.

surprisingly those lights behind are stars! well I thought it was pretty cool - taken with Nikon D3300 35mm 1.8 :)

A very low tide day...had to walk out quite far on precarious rock outcroppings to get anything worthwhile...but it was worth it in the end.

For me, these three shots show a progression of time. More than an instant, a moment. Which is defined as three human seconds, a moment.

Sometimes for me, a photo cannot stand alone. It needs more, and that's when I do sequences, and I do a LOT of them, but I don't always put them together like this. Together like this it's the story of this moment and not just an instant inside of the moment.

The Light Side of the Dark Night of the Soul

Last December, the city of Farmington held their very first "Light Up The Grand" parade! Traffic was closed off on Main Street which also happens to be Grand River Avenue.Many people...young and old alike lined the sidewalk! It was a very cold night but to get a chance to see Santa up close and personal...many braved the cold!

The James-Santee Episcopal Church in McClellanville was built in 1890 as a chapel-of-ease for the Wambaw Church within the St. James-Santee Parish. The parish was established in 1706 by the Church of England and served French Huguenots who had arrived in 1687 – two years after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes – to escape persecution for their Protestant beliefs. It was the first parish to be established outside of Charleston, and the area was called the French Santee

Beautiful Cormorant posing at Blue Spring State Park in Debary, Florida....the reflections of the spring combined with perfect sun and the iridescent color of the feathers made an awesome shot.

The picture represents its: maritime (harbourside) and industrial past (M Shed); economic significance as an important financial centre (Lloyds Headquarters); tourism (boats); and green credentials as 2015 European Green Capital (bicycles).
