Monochrome version of a waiting stack of crystal goblets from the veranda of a restaurant close by Ponte Rialto (Rialto Bridge) Venice, Italy. This tends to bring out the clarity of the crystal bulbs. The crowd in the background is a phalanx of photographers poised along the bank.

Color version of a waiting stack of crystal goblets from the veranda of a restaurant close by Ponte Rialto (Rialto Bridge) Venice, Italy. This tends to imply a gray creaminess to the crystal bulbs. The crowd in the background is a phalanx of photographers poised along the bank.

One of last shots taken of Denver Botanic Gardens' temporary display, "Chihully in the Gardens." We were being chased out at dusk by the docents ending the open afternoon hours and beginning the sold out evening hours of the last day.

The Kingfisher is a bird I've always wanted to shoot, but never had the opportunity. The other night, I was served this beer in an Indian restaurant in South Kensington, and I thought "why the hell not?" Lighting was pretty cool and funky, but I think I got it balanced.

Southwest of Jal lies a farm that produces hay. I was taking pictures on the property for their daughter who was elected homecoming queen, and the sunset was just right and made for an outstanding background.

Taken on holiday last year of a local filling glass ornaments and souvenirs with coloured sand.
As he sat in the shade of his small hut only his hand was visible against the light and briefly caught a glimpse of his face on the rare occasion he lifted his head.

This is a flower box that I made out of an old bird house, I have an frosty wine bottle for watering. This picture was taken through a magnify glass of a flower as the sun was setting so it was shinning on the bottle.

Long exposure at my favorite local beach. It's a climb to get down to the water, but it's worth it.

This shot was taken at Spyglass Beach here on the Central Coast of California. The rock formations in our area are legendary. I purposely took a low perspective for this shot, set up my tripod and then waited until the sun was where I wanted it to be. I took only a handful of shots, because I already knew what composition I wanted ahead of time. This was my lesson is "plan ahead"...it worked well for me.
