Love modern and old architecture in Liverpool.

Dawn sun rays back light the open petals of this 'old' rose in the Denver Museum of Nature and Science rose garden.

Managed to salvage this rose bush and almost missed the opportunity to photograph the floral world in my own backyard. Allowed the rose bushes to go wild over the last couple years; last fall did major pruning and results are satisfactory for the recovery.
Here, with the late afternoon bright summer sun backlighting the single last rosebud of the year applied diffuse, reflected filler flash to bring out the front petal colors while maintaining the translucence from the sunlight.

A single Mexican primrose close up. This plant is far more aggressive than expected, the vines are expanding across our high alpine meadow.

It's not really a sorbet obviously. However, the colour and softness did make me think of a refreshing mango sorbet.

One of these shadows does not belong. My wife and I experimented with abstraction in Sabatini's Italian Bistro aboard Coral Princess using floral centerpiece and other on table items as part of challenge by an emeritus art teacher and painter friend cruising with us.

Take with iPhone 6 Plus using the native camera and the only lighting was a CFL bulb offside.

This rose's outer petals are really showing its age. The middle is still just as beautiful though. For me, this really supports the view that 'beauty comes from within'. :)

Although this rose was past its prime, I still found the colouring and textures beautiful.

i thought they looked even better in B & W than they did in their original
pale yellow colour.

I love bokeh...all kinds of bokeh, and selective focus.
this is one of the reason that I adore Lensbaby lenses so much.
much of the bokeh were captured in camera and not a whole lot of editing.
colours rendered from the glass is pretty as well...

This was taken in Inverness California, this is probably the most photographed abandoned fishing boat ever. This is my favorite photograph, I'm extremely happy with my processing.
