A scraggly pair of Shasta daisies standing tall in our High Alpine Meadow, front yard, near Denver International Airport. Taken to share with Limes Wright after an excellent shot of UK seacoast Moon daisies.

Taken in the Jewish Getto, Rome, Italy in July 2015. I was intrigued with so many windows, doors and the lovely circular stairway.

The Carillion Tower on the newly renamed state park of Belle Isle which is located in the middle of the Detroit River. Very clean, family and pet friendly, perfect for watching boats and freighters make their way up and down the river. There's picnic areas and also a public beach with The Detroit Yacht Club close by.

In 2014, a large section of one of the major expressways that had been under construction for months, reopened to pedestrian traffic only. It was a big to do with many local and state dignitaries officiating. The public was allowed to walk on a two mile stretch of the refurbished freeway. Michigan's Governor lead the group. It was very fun and a wonderful experience. It's very commonplace in Michigan to have these walkabouts.

When all the children run home for supper,
the hoop is left to dangle,
soaking in the light that's missed,
by the maple leaves a tangle,
soon, so soon, the leaves all gone,
the court the hoop looks down upon
will be crunchy underfoot

This was the final circuit of this four mile race at the Middleburg Spring Races. I was trying to blur the background while freezing the horses and jockeys. I didn't quite get the freezing I had hoped for, but I still like the feeling of movement in the result. What do you think, and any suggestions for shutter settings?

Like the brilliant reds and yellows of these Goblin Blanket Flowers, native to Colorado's high mesa prairie ecosystem.
An 11 X 14 version was my 1st professional, framed sale to a friend for her new apartment.

Shot after sunset from a rooftop in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The rooftop wall kept getting in my shot since I wanted to keep it wide, so I had to balance my camera at the edge in order to get this shot. It was a long 15 seconds!
