Sought to limit my pallet to primary colors for this pair of early morning sunflowers just north of Denver International Airport.

Caught a fly having his breakfast at the center of an early morning sunflower. The field is just outside the north edge of Denver International Airport. Processed using Skylum Luminar 2018 RAW Develop and Golden Hour presets.

Found an east sloping field of ripening sunflowers in the earlier morning sun. Due to heavy forest fire overcast had to correct RAW files for red haze tint.

There has been some stunning misty mornings of late

Found this image interesting with the early morning sun glancing off a Denver, CO, skyscraper behind shaded trees and bike racks.

After sunrise this sculpture seemed to pop out of a primordial forest.

Dawn sun rays back light the open petals of this 'old' rose in the Denver Museum of Nature and Science rose garden.

Watched the sunrise create a horizon shadow line along the Front Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The circular area in the foreground is a splash fountain for children during the heat of the day; in the mid ground is the lake, its boathouse, and a water jet fountain, with the Denver skyline below the Rocky Mountain peaks.

Made use of tall park trees to frame downtown Denver, CO, during blue hour. Intentionally, cropped out the streetlight in camera, but found the flare added to the image appearing to provide some of the light for the foreground.

Spotted this potential shot while approaching a group of fellow photographers gathered to take blue hour photographs of the Denver skyline against the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Took several shots from the area where they were gathered, then moved back to catch this image. Was amazed at how few actually moved from their initial set up location to change their viewpoint or perspective.

Liked the light and shadow play across the sand trap hazard on the Green Valley Ranch Golf Course, Denver, CO.

Low angle, morning sunlight dramatically lights up a cottonwood tree along walking path in Green Valley Ranch Golf Course and Highline Canal Trail, Denver, CO.

Green Valley Ranch Golf Course grounds crew predictably water the fairways of the course at the same time every day. Here the early morning sunlight shines through the sprinkler rooster tail and creates a sharp silhouette and shadows from trees along the fairway. Like the pastel rings around the rising sun, which are the result of applying the "Posterize" function to the basic image.

As I viewed my images from the incredible weekend that I had, this particular image really stood out for me. It was the last image I took, before leaving the Alvord Desert in Oregon. We had only gotten about 3 hrs of sleep, but it was so worth getting up for. As I looked at the image, the clouds looked like a Phoenix rising up from the dry desert earth. The "Phoenix" is a symbol of a renewal or rebirth. It is a reminder to me, that no matter how far we fall, or how bad things get.... We all have the strength to rise again, and come out even stronger than we were!!

No other words necessary. This mug says it all! ☕️

So glad to have captured many shots of this particular site as it is not longer in existence, being replaced with housing.

Clifton Suspension Bridge is one of Bristol's most iconic and historic landmarks. It was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and opened in 1864. The world's first modern bungee jump took place on this bridge in 1979, by members of the Oxford University Dangerous Sports Club; they were arrested shortly afterwards.

That shot everyone is after on Christmas Morning.

Safety tug drops behind Coral Princess at entrance to Gatun Locks, Panama Canal, while the electric train engine awaits tying on to guide ship along locks with less than 2 feet of clearance on each side. Ships propel themselves through while up to 8 paired, electric railroad engines keep ship in middle of lock chamber with cables through capstan drives.

Out of all the Mountains in the PNW, this one means the most. I have a special connection with Mount Hood. Every time I see this Mountain, I am reminded of my grandfather. During his summers, he spent many lonely days and nights watching for fires keeping it safe from harm. Also as a young man, he even climbed this mountain a few times. I never really understood his love for it. Because to me, it was just another mountain. But now after exploring and photographing it, I understand its magic, and his love for it. It will always hold a very special place in my heart.

A frosty morning on the Central Coast of California

The last few leaves remain,
stubborn, clinging, lifeless.

But their beauty does not wane.

As I wait for the sun to rise, I can feel how cold it was around 11 C .. We never get this weather in the City that is why I always love going up in the mountains to feel that cool weather.. :)

Aunty woke me up this morning telling me its a "winter wonderland". So i asked if it was snowing and she said No. But the frost is stunning!

Love that the Monarchs are still hanging around...found this flower hedge the other morning and it was covered in them.

Normally this isn't my typical style of work, but I wanted to try something different. I was in the creative mood. This image was taken in Florence Oregon. We had gotten up early to catch a sunrise. But were instead, met with foggy and dark morning. I think that the fog, actually adds to the mood of the image.

NW C-Train station very early on a winter morning

This is a shot one crisp morning from outside my home rural Galway, coming originally from a hosing estate in Dublin City I fully appreciate seeing this each day, even if the weather not always this good.

This was shot around 6:30am on 28/9/15. The moon was moving so fast, it had completely disappeared about five minutes after I'd taken this.

Taken this morning. The first dew I have seen since the end of the drought these last few days.

The Mason Dixon trail on a back road in York pa. This trail leads to the Susquehanna river ! In the winter in between snow falls !

My morning cup of starter fluid...cup of joe, Java, essence of the bean. Whatever you want to call it.

4am start saw me on a local pier waiting to bid good morning to the sun, alas a huge cloud bank on the horizon made me wait until after 6am to get just the shot I wanted

Just couldn't resist catching the morning dew as it was backlit by the rising sun

An absolutely glorious morning presented itself as I left work, and seeing as the the river was only 5 mins down the road it was an opportunity too good to miss
