I decided to drop in on Mount Rainier this weekend, hoping to catch some light. I have been here many times, and the moutain as always eluded me. After I had taken my shots that I wanted, I stood there in silence just taking in the view. Even thought there were other people around, I felt like it was just me and the mountain. We were finally at peace.

"The Grandeur of Yosemite" I had the opportunity to take my cousin to Yosemite for the first time while he was visiting me from Mexico. He stated that it is the most beautiful place that he has ever seen and was blown away with the grandeur of Yosemite. It's awesome to see someone experience Yosemite for the first time.

Wawona Tunnel is the longest highway tunnel in the state of California (length is 4,233 ft). It is one of three main roads which provide access to Yosemite Valley. The tunnel exits to one of the most stunning and most photographed views of Yosemite.

Earlier this week I decided to take a trip to Sequoia National Park in California. I grew up close to both Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and visited both parks several times a year. I picked a day in which the weather was unfortunately not the best for driving. But I was able to capture a this shot (edited with Lightroom CC).

Grant's Grove is host to a large grove of Giant Sequoias and each year millions of visitors from all over the world travel to see one of natures true wonders.

I was pleased to get this result at our local country club on 4th of July 2015. The reflection of the fireworks and the remnants of the sunset behind give it such an awesome affect! I will have to search down the EXIF, can't believe it isn't attached to the image! UGH

On a busy visitor day no one was to be seen in this section of the Harpers Ferry National Park. The scene reminded me of a Hopper painting.

A UNESCO World Heritage site, Plitvička Jezera National Park is undoubtedly one of the most stunning collection of lakes and waterfalls in the world. The waters flowing over the limestone and chalk have, over thousands of years, deposited travertine barriers, creating natural dams which in turn have created a series of beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls. From a photographic standpoint, it is like being let loose in a candy store; more photo opportunities than you could handle in a week, let alone a day.

I chaperone the 8th grade field trip every year to McKittrick Canyon in West Texas. One of these days I'm going to go alone so I can get off the trail a little bit or take more time to compose a shot. I have only seconds to notice something and compose and take a picture because I have to stay with the pack.

I took this because the lower center of the photo looks like an evil clown staring at you from inside.

This was taken at the Grand Tetons National Park in 2014..
Coming from Yellowstone, it just stormed.
One of my favorite photos of all times.. and the first photo to be printed and canvased to be hanging on the walls in my home. This image is the first that I have ever taken that has won multiple online awards, recognition and promotions with my first DLSR Camera a Nikon D60.

Rock City near Chattanooga- Lover's Leap. I wasn't sure if they would allow tripods or not, so I chose not to take one. I wish I would have taken one, this would have came out much better.

I was in Arches National Park on my way home from a 6,000 mile roadtrip. This isn't an arch but the landscape throughout is beautiful and I thought the tree added a unique foreground.

Vancouver Island is patchy at best when it comes to our once lush gorgeous rainforest. More in town cougar sightings and bear encounters points to a lack of habitat or habitable areas for them.

We cut down their forest and kill them when they are forced into our space. Something wrong with that.

The gorgeous Alberta Falls, just outside of Estes Park in the Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. It's about a half hour to 45 minute hike over fairly easy terrain, and it's so worth it.
