I had heard about the famous Dalles Mountain Ranch. People from miles around come to shoot this old car. I knew that if I wanted a shot, I had to act fast. The flowers had already reached their peak. I got up at 5 and drove 2 hrs to this place. It was totally worth losing a little sleep over. When I see stuff like this, I often wonder about its story. I wonder who the people were, and how the car happen to be left here, and why. No matter what the story is, though our photographs, the memories live on.

It was such a lovely evening after work. I couldn't resist popping out into the garden to see what everything was looking like. :)

This is one of the bull elk I regularly find and photograph. He survived the winter just fine.

This Marmot seemed to be thankful for the warm sun after a long winter.

Denver, the winter weather Rodney Dangerfield of large cities in the USA. View out through our front window onto Green Valley Ranch street of blizzard snows blowing across streets and, due to stickiness, building up on tree branches out of the gusty winds.

Thinking Spring! Its getting cold again in Michigan, so I'm thinking happy, warm thoughts:)

It was really busy as there were so many people out and about enjoying the Spring weather. Some people are clearly more hardcore than others though.

It was a beautiful early spring day to find acres of mustard strutting it's stuff. Truly amazing.

Rain followed by warm weather equals an early bloom!

Gilded, spring loaded doorstop holds the main, passenger, locking glass door way open for passengers to disembark from Coral Princess for local, on shore excursions.

It's been so mild for much of the time, I'm not sure whether these berries signify Winter or Spring.

in 1914 and is still in use today.

Spring finally arrived at 11,000 feet in early August. Wild lupine has finally blossomed just below top of Berthoud Pass, Colorado, along the Continental Divide.

We were showing my in-laws the beauty of Michigan. We took them through Whiting Forest. They looked so cute together, that I had to capture the moment.

Winter ice breaking up in the spring in downtown Calgary

While hiking along the Mason Dixon trail in York Pa. In the beginning of spring I came across this reminder of the past fall!

This is a flower shot i made at the beginning of spring 2013 in a floral shop in York PA. Lighting was great,the colors popped like fireworks on the 4th of July.!

This is Falling Branch AKA Kilgore falls. located in Rock state park in Maryland!The hike to the 2nd highest free falling waterfall in the state is probably one of the easiest hikes i have ever done.less than a mile and well worth every step! Be careful in winter the trail does ice over! This is a fall that cane and should be enjoyed every season!

This was taken as a random shot in the Shenandoah Mountains in Virginia. The way the sunset gave the impression that there was a fire in the distance was what I was hoping to achieve.

Caught this at a local garden store...you're really not supposed to bring in your cameras, but I'm a rule breaker.

I think these are called butterfly blossoms? Not sure but when I got in close I saw how spectacular they are individually even on such a small scale.

In getting down low to shoot this, I fell in love with the flat planes of the flower tops. To me, the daisy just screams spring,and I loved the colors of these.
