After hearing reports about the flowers blooming on St Helens, a few of my friends and I decided to head up.. The night was so clear and beautiful, it was the perfect evening

Spawling sunflower fields, just a mile away from Denver International Airport.

This particular front angle of the butterfly makes me giggle because of its comical effect. :D

I shot this today with an old Canon Rebel and a $24.99 plastic Holga lens to prove that it's not about what gear you have, it's about how you use it. I know the focus is soft, it's a trait of this lens, but any CC is welcome.

These flowers are really small. It's amazing how much more detail I can see on the image compared with the naked eye.

I had heard about the famous Dalles Mountain Ranch. People from miles around come to shoot this old car. I knew that if I wanted a shot, I had to act fast. The flowers had already reached their peak. I got up at 5 and drove 2 hrs to this place. It was totally worth losing a little sleep over. When I see stuff like this, I often wonder about its story. I wonder who the people were, and how the car happen to be left here, and why. No matter what the story is, though our photographs, the memories live on.

Thinking Spring! Its getting cold again in Michigan, so I'm thinking happy, warm thoughts:)

Loving Springtime this year. The contrast of the strong oak and carpet of wildflowers is eye catching.

I wanted to get a picture of a flower with lots of pink and yellow, but, this is all I could find.

The last two roses of the season hanging in there until mid-November from a plant next to my driveway.

Just some flowers...and a bee...

Straight out of cellphone. Spotted this cluster of yellow wildflowers along walking trail beside Highline Canal, Aurora, CO. My daughter and son-in-law had a rule of no stopping on their power walks, I did not follow the rule.

Drought resistance is the driving force in our selection of trees, bushes and flowers in our garden. Here the bedding flower was bred for high mesa areas, the Colorado Gold Gazania. Their rayed flowers close in the afternoon, also, called treasure flower.

This is from just outside the house, one sunny morning. The Lavender is slowly disappearing with the oncoming winter, thus the name.

Birthday photo session with a 4 year old. She is terrified of the camera, so I started the session discretely following her around capturing candids.

I didn't get the bright orange and pink colors I was hoping for with tonight's sunset, but this will do.

Driving by those medians filled with flowers always makes me shake my head.

Nature creates drama in many forms. I am honored to capture just a moment of it!

This is a flower shot i made at the beginning of spring 2013 in a floral shop in York PA. Lighting was great,the colors popped like fireworks on the 4th of July.!

What an incredibly fun lens

I was walking Ruby Dog in the woods and saw this dainty pair of pink flowers hiding amidst the undergrowth. An insect had been on the right hand flower, it's clearly visible it's been stripped bare of its pollen as a result.

Pretty fuschias, been growing so long they were a little tree.

I just love these "fall colors" in the summertime...looking forward to the changing of seasons already.

Even though old and faded, a flower is still beautiful. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.

I am learning how to optimize my photos using Kenko Extension Tubes. This is one of the better ones.

I couldn't stop admiring these lovely marguerite daisies whilst waiting for my lunch in the pub garden. I decided to make use of my waiting time by lying on the grass to capture these, much to the amusement of my fellow diners.

This is the small wild flower patch at my local park. My dog came into view in the background. Can you see her?

The echinacea patch attracts these green bees. I always thought they were a fly but no, they are a bee.

Only 2 weeks in the California Central Valley Flowers last, mainly due to lack of rain and heat. During the wetter Spring's we have the number of weeks can be up to 5 weeks.

Fell in love with the velvet texture of these petals, and free lensing is a great way to throw focus on different areas to highlight the great vein lines. Nikon Body/Canon 18mm to 55mm lens, 1/250, ISO 200

Hipstamatic has a fishe eye lens app and I played around with the different cameras and liked this lens the most out of all. I believe the flowers is a member of the Daisy or Black-eyed Susan family. Taken at Newburgh Pointe.

One of my happiest flower images. I loved the lighting, and the straight lines in different sections of the frame made this one of my more favorite floral images.

Another really fun set up shoot...I was going through an Alice in Wonderland Phase.
