While walking from the British Polo Field, this chair was sitting in the street at the edge of the parking area and the roadway. Wondering, if this location was selected by the owner to lock down a seating position for a parade.

I wanted to shoot a scene with a yellow cab in, and there's other images where I have managed this. But this one had the two guys starting to party by the sid eof the road which to me gave the shot some life and realism

Didn't stick around too long. There were four of them after all. As a trained (but lapsed) First Aider and RLSS Life Guard, I didn't fancy jumping in to rescue one of these guys.

I live in a small community (90,000 total pop.). When I post photographs of my street photography on social media I get nothing but praise from subjects and other photographers. However, there is an under-current of aggression from a small but significant section of non-participants. I'd like to anchor these threats of violence have led to some exclusions from FaceBook. People say things like, 'Invasion of privacy...', in public place? All images come with a disclaimer as in (Please do NOT Tag or try to name subjects in my Candid Street Photography. No sale or profit made.), so I believe I don't need to get a release signed from each subject. They also say, 'I would be very annoyed if it appeared on social media....', even though they have significant numbers of family photos on their page.

What are your experiences in this area? Can you give me any advice? Paul

A 'Toy Town' which is really a real city, photographed from a bridge and given treatment to look like a model. I accomplished this by blurring everything but the center region of the photo, then using a surface blur on rooftops, etc. to make real houses and cars appear to be toys.

Every Friday 13th there is a huge gathering of Motorcycle enthusiasts in Port Dover, Ontario. They pretty much take over the town for the day...and a lot of them pass right by my front door.....PHOTO OP!

Cleaning is a constant job in Beijing with a population approaching 20 million and growing at 44% for the last decade. A major public awareness campaign tied to the Summer Olympics has increased recycling and decreased littering. Many teams of 1-5 uniformed workers were dispersed ubiquitously throughout the city.

A pre-dawn scene on Congress Street in Austin, Texas. The Capitol Dome looms in the background with an ominous red glow, while the streets are lit only by the glow of headlights. Red and green traffic lights, and an array of white "christmas" lights gently dot the canvas of this quiet, peaceful scene.

Things you see while you drive your son to work

This sign was begging to have a photo taken. Was driving around Old Town this raining morning and though I have often thought I needed to stop and take this shot, this morning, it was truly a "Why Not" kind of day.

Small bells cap the clock tower in front of Royal Plaza open air mall, Oranjestad, Aruba. Strange because time is not important on tropical islands, at least so go the cliches.

Entertaining the crowds with bubbles against the backdrop of the Old Town Hall in Prague.

This is my first attempt at street photography. It's dark so I didn't feel so conspicuous. I'm walking towards Charles Bridge in Prague, whilst keeping my distance from what looks like a stag party up ahead.

Sometimes it pays to save historic signs.

So here I was in Stirlng Castle, a spectacular tourist destination, and squirreled away in one of the rooms were these two, catching up with their social media world. Amazing.

What is missing in this neighborhood of Santorini, Greece? White washed windmill stands prominently against azure skies over neighborhood without renown blue domed Orthodox chapels.

Was learning the capabilities of my new Sony Alpha58, when on a night walking tour in Venice, near the university. This is a neighborhood plaza, common area, near the local church and the local cistern access.

This is an in camera HDR type process, which gave results better than my novice efforts.

I love the little downtown area of Pismo Beach. I was out searching for "benches", and happened upon this little guy enjoying one...so I made him part of the scene.

While touring the snow damage of 2014 in York Pa. I spotted this cold and lonely bench .

Buskers can plant themselves anywhere downtown. Where is there a better chance at a few dollars than in the financial district?

Calgary isn't a large city (1.2M) and we have a long winter so we don't see the number of street people that other cities have. Life is tough for those that are here.

Though being homeless is a very helpless state, this man seemed to of found a way to take advantage of the surroundings and looks like he is home at least for the moment.

Sometimes the most random thing makes a wonderful shot. This is a statue I saw on the roof of a building in downtown Victoria BC. I almost missed it as I was a passenger and I was on the other side of the car from it and I just managed to sneak the shot through the windshield.
Glad it was even focused.

Walking past Mr. Clarkes house I decided to stop and knock on the door. To ask a small favor and to say hello.
His wife Delphine answered and when I asked after her husband informed me that Richard passed suddenly a few months ago.
I remember the last time I spoke to him, he was friendly and helpful as usual if a little distracted. He was a valuable and contributing member of our community and also a very kind man.
He has left behind the sweetest woman. After 35 years.

Walnut shells from hungry crows and the ripening of the seasons changing. The water flows again.

This street in Rosemarkie, Scotland, intrigued me. It looked like something out of a Hopper painting. I waited, and waited, until the road cleared in front and nothing was coming at me from behind and took the shot. Post-processing was merely to increase the saturation and luminosity of yellows, oranges and aquas.

Selective Light Painting done last night in a abandoned petrol station here in Essex. No editing was done in this image at all. One 97 seconds exposure and light used was the LED Lenser UK P7QC.

The mural on the side of one of the local restaurants, you'd think it would be called the early bird.. It's 'the Arb' to the locals and "The Arbutus Cafe" is what it says on the sign.
