If God persists, persists in saying yes
I guess we'll have, we'll have to test ourselves
Maybe the Summer, will come and clear our minds

Late Rose
travlndon
Managed to salvage this rose bush and almost missed the opportunity to photograph the floral world in my own backyard. Allowed the rose bushes to go wild over the last couple years; last fall did major pruning and results are satisfactory for the recovery.
Here, with the late afternoon bright summer sun backlighting the single last rosebud of the year applied diffuse, reflected filler flash to bring out the front petal colors while maintaining the translucence from the sunlight.

Just field grass
John Lister
I never noticed how much beauty there is in the common grass that grows in any field. I knelt down and shot this image on Thursday, where I park when shooting photos of herons from my kayak. I had loaded up and was ready to drive away, when it occurred to me to take a photo of the grass where I park and unload the kayak. I particularly like how the 'grass bokeh' turned out on the right side of the photo. Any comments most welcome!

Dark to Dark
Bret Gardner
This photograph took me about 2 years to make. When I first saw this tree it was mid summer 2 years earlier. I knew It would be a good photo opp some day with the right conditions. So every once in a while I would take a hour drive to Maryland on my way to a cool water fall and check this dead tree and the conditions! On this day they were right on! Slow moving clouds clear no humidity just enough breeze to blow the corn that was just about ready for harvesting .

Born to Be Wild
Richard Boe
My great niece Tisha. She is a wild child with a thrill seeking side on the left and a fearless side on the right! At age 5 she performed an original song and her own dance she made up, I have it on video. Very cute! This kid has boundless energy, I wish I did lol! This was taken at a park in Spokane Washington where we had a family picnic. Tish was running thru the water park to keep cool so I snagged this photo.

At Bell Creek Park, there's always a group of guys who on a regular basis, engage in a friendly game of pick up basketball. Whether they are young, old, black, white, male or female, it doesn't matter. What matters more...is playing the game.

Dry
Patrick Anderson
Mudflats created by seasonally draining and drying parts of the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. The entire area is carefully managed to balance the local environment and maintain the massive diversity of species found in the refuge. This shot is a combination of 21 individual shots taken at 50mm, shot at 1/50, ISO100 at f/11 for maximum sharpness.

After much anticipation, I finally got to see this lighthouse in person last June! I fell in love with the town of Grand Haven and even though the town caters to the tourists, there's still a lot of charm to behold. The lighthouse is a great example of that!

I was outside watering the garden and I turned around and was astonished at the sky so I ran inside and came out and it had of course changed dramatically but I snapped a few photos that still had some little portion of the colour that made me run inside with wet feet. This was my favourite.
