Challenged to break the photography rules recently and came out with this. Actually like this image of a lingering daisy touched by rain.

Most of the shots I take are when I'm stood firmly on the floor, but I must admit the one looking down on Times Square did involve some dangerous leaning out of a window!

A sundial graces the south wall of the Newman Center for the Performing Arts on Denver University campus.

Back in about 1975, I was driving up highway 89 to SLC. I passed this old guy and his wagon and hit the brakes hard.. I went back with my camera of course and struck up a conversation with him. He told me that every spring he leaves Tucson Az headed for Jackson Hole Wy to teach the the boy scouts survival training. I asked if I could take some pictures and he said why sure but most folks tip me a bit to help feed my boys here. I had no problem with that and this is what I came up with. I really thought these negatives were long gone. You can't imagine my excitement when I found them.

I don't come across horses very often plus, it's not doing anything exciting compared with the typical horse shots on here. However, it's a starting point for next time I come across one. :)

I had heard about the famous Dalles Mountain Ranch. People from miles around come to shoot this old car. I knew that if I wanted a shot, I had to act fast. The flowers had already reached their peak. I got up at 5 and drove 2 hrs to this place. It was totally worth losing a little sleep over. When I see stuff like this, I often wonder about its story. I wonder who the people were, and how the car happen to be left here, and why. No matter what the story is, though our photographs, the memories live on.

It is always the young ones that cause drama at the table. Not wanting to eat veggies, etc..

This sign was begging to have a photo taken. Was driving around Old Town this raining morning and though I have often thought I needed to stop and take this shot, this morning, it was truly a "Why Not" kind of day.

We live together in a photograph of time
I look into your eyes
And the seas open up to me
I tell you I love you
And I always will

Hands, watches, hands, minutes, time...ahh, the loveliness of it all.

Something beautiful about time...

I chose this lake to represent the ripples of my journey, this lake was the turning point in my photography adventure, everything fell into place once I saw the true beauty of the world that we live in and it all started at this lake.

This is a composite/montage to memorialize my daughter, Star. She graced us with 6 hours of life, the items in the image are what I have to remember her by a onesie, Christening gown and cap, and her baby blanket (used as a texture).

7 of us met at 9am. to ride to the Tatooed Moose. Saw it on the food network and it was 3 hrs away. We headed out on the bikes . The ride was great despite running out of gas, almost losing a saddle bag, getting slammed by a car, heat cramps , and getting lost. The company was awesome , food ok, and the memories in forgettable . While taking a break there it was.
Sam kicked back and Renee behind him with this expression of peace and heart felt thoughts.

Taken this morning October 2nd. I stumbled upon a tree farm with vibrant color. This was taken in East China, Michigan. I played with the coloring to add black and white in the dull areas.

It is all a cycle -
the building and breaking,
as bodies are covered
with blankets of sand,
tucked back into the earth
by Time's withered hands.

I myself haven't ever seen a selective color shot of Times Square. I'm not saying no one has done it, I'm just saying I personally haven't seen one. Thus my attempt at something outside the norm for me.

Some of you know that I've posted a similar photo before, but this time I was on my regular editing PC and was able to edit the RAW image and tone down highlights and have more control across the board.

This is a friends son taken his first time on a ropes course.

Driving on the Colonial Highway near Jamestowne I spotted a riverside view and had to stop. My only camera was my iPhone, so I put it to use.

When this little guy grows up, I think he wants to be a chicken hawk. LOL

I just cannot get enough of this time of year, and the round bales are so photogenic
