Along this path he met his match. Someone feisty, smart, sensitive, but with an over powering personality. She made his heart beat so loudly that he can no longer hear the kids playing basketball or the dogs barking. All he hears is the thump in his chest. His hands sweating when just a few seconds ago they were dry and cold. He tries to swallow the fluids being built up in his mouth but cannot, the lump in his throat prevents him bringing anything down let alone let out some air from his lungs. He tries to build enough courage to whisper the most romantic words ever assembled but nothing comes out. She's arriving closer and sees the time passing on by. Sirens and red lights are going off in his head, the suspenseful orchestra music faintly playing in the background in his head. She glances at his eyes and smiles. The raised cheeks presents her eyes smaller than usual. Yet it still sparkled. She whispers a quick small hi under her breath. He sees the window closing and realizes he might not have an opportunity ever again. As she gets within a few feet, a light gust of wind brushes by and carries her scent onto his path. That moment of tranquility as he closes his eyes to enjoy the scent of heaven, she passes him by. This does not discourage him. For he believes if it was meant to be, it will happen. So he takes a picture of this path to remind himself of that moment when life and time did not exists but only that brief connection with another human being.
