The most prominent peak (just to the left of center) is Mt Princeton--elevation 14,404'.

Color version of a waiting stack of crystal goblets from the veranda of a restaurant close by Ponte Rialto (Rialto Bridge) Venice, Italy. This tends to imply a gray creaminess to the crystal bulbs. The crowd in the background is a phalanx of photographers poised along the bank.

High key detail of my weekly bouquet for my wife. Used south facing picture window with bright afternoon sunlight as sole light source. Extremely high ISO 12800 and open aperture (f/4.5) to blow out light and hide tree, porch posts, and parked car in background.

Best known for it's amphitheater where first class concerts are held nearly every weekend, the blue Colorado sky brings out the color in the area's geological features.

This Marmot seemed to be thankful for the warm sun after a long winter.

Talk about adrenaline rushes.... this Canadian goose, was very protective of his half of the pond. When you are sitting on the side of the pond, and the action keeps getting closer and closer, and all you can do is hope your focus keeps tracking, and you do not become part of the argument!

Finally, I can take this one off my bucket list! The wood ducks come to Central Washington every spring to nest and raise their babies.

Caught this River Otter having dinner this evening. Bass. Yum!

1st decent sunset in months, photography wise anyway.

It had just rained before I took this shot, and this brief moment happened - the sky itself became a rainbow as the sun dipped below the horizon.

It was snowing heavily today, as I was out looking for shots. Found these 4 fine gentlemen out feeding on a hillside.

Another lovely sunset at the Pismo Beach Pier...

One of the things I love most about the coastline where I live is the beautiful seacliffs...this was taken during the blue hour, just after the sun had done down and the sky went all pink and purple. Moments like these remind me why I love my camera so much.

Sunsets are beautiful, but I love catching interesting additions, like this surfer and the rays of sunlight coming through the pier.

Like the variegated reds and greens of this tree, and the strong vein lines.

Used Picasa for post work on this cell/smartphone capture of neighborhood sugar maple, which is undergoing fall color changes. Really like the contrasting red-green colored patches.

Just some flowers...and a bee...

Drought resistance is the driving force in our selection of trees, bushes and flowers in our garden. Here the bedding flower was bred for high mesa areas, the Colorado Gold Gazania. Their rayed flowers close in the afternoon, also, called treasure flower.

Love that the Monarchs are still hanging around...found this flower hedge the other morning and it was covered in them.

When the Ocean is calm, or the tide is low, Thor's Well can seem very tame. But in a matter of moments, it can become a very dangerous place. While there is some risk being that close to it, I love feeling the power it has, and watching the waves come crashing in.

So don't be afraid to let them show

The Auroras put on a show last night. It was cold up on that mountain, but so worth it. Elk were still bugling in the distance. Taken in Central Washington State.

Frost is but slender weeks away,
Tonight the sunset glow will stay,
Swing to the north and burn up higher
And Northern Lights wall earth with fire.
Nothing is lost yet, nothing broken,

Blue domed, Greek Orthodox chapels and colorfully painted homes/shops enhance the white washed homes and shops on ridgeline above the still active volcanic caldera, Santorini Island, Greece.

The event is held during winter in central Sydney over the course of three weeks in May and June. The centrepiece of Vivid Sydney is the light sculptures, multimedia interactive work and building projections that transform various buildings and landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge in and around the Sydney CBD into an outdoor night time canvas of art.

I was finally able to make it up to New England during the fall. Unfortunately, they hadn't had their cold snap yet. Thank goodness, my son was able to drive me an hour north of Boston, near the border of New Hampshire. A beautiful treat, yet, patchy in fall foliage. I still feel blessed to have captured this. Makes me want more!

While hiking along the Mason Dixon trail in York Pa. In the beginning of spring I came across this reminder of the past fall!

It's tough, sometimes, to see the subtle changing of the seasons in California, but if you look hard enough you can find touches of it here and there.

This is a flower shot i made at the beginning of spring 2013 in a floral shop in York PA. Lighting was great,the colors popped like fireworks on the 4th of July.!

The race is on...colors collide.

I myself haven't ever seen a selective color shot of Times Square. I'm not saying no one has done it, I'm just saying I personally haven't seen one. Thus my attempt at something outside the norm for me.

...and ask me your questions. Another free lensing subject. Turns our a de-saturated and deconstructed series of these shots is perfect for conceptual grouping I'm putting together for a show.
