A great blue heron waits in the water for fish to catch.
This was the heron I was sneaking up on when I bumped the huge turtle. (Yesterday's photo)

Broiled, deboned trout and fried rice as part of a Chinese restaurant lunch near the Great Wall outside Beijing, China. On another photography page, a fellow shooter paid me the greatest complement stating, "Now, I am hungry!" I think that is the idea with food and other product shots.

This fish was fried Sichuan style to accompany the evenings main course of Peking Duck, at Da Dong Restaurant in Beijing, China.

The Kingfisher is a bird I've always wanted to shoot, but never had the opportunity. The other night, I was served this beer in an Indian restaurant in South Kensington, and I thought "why the hell not?" Lighting was pretty cool and funky, but I think I got it balanced.

|But even with a regular lens I am a little wierd. :P

These little yellow fish can be seen around almost every manhole in town. The local elementary schools all cut out fish and painted them onto the streets to label the drains that lead out to fresh water where the salmon run. Least that's what I heard. Each and every one is different from the next.

The devil is in the details...or in this case, the "fish" is in the details. I found this guy hiding at a local hotel and was drawn in by the textures, lines and the contrast between the marble and the metal.

Prepared by the excellent staff of the Carnival Glory Chef's Table, chorizo-crusted Chilean sea bass with lobster foam. The cubes are fried popcorn pudding, with a lemon macaroon in the background.

Towneley Park is a great place to find birds of any kind, but, Herons are abundant and fantastic to photograph
