Straight out of cellphone. Spotted this cluster of yellow wildflowers along walking trail beside Highline Canal, Aurora, CO. My daughter and son-in-law had a rule of no stopping on their power walks, I did not follow the rule.

Just a bit of fun with composition, not sure if it works or not! let me know what you think!

This is Falling Branch AKA Kilgore falls. located in Rock state park in Maryland!The hike to the 2nd highest free falling waterfall in the state is probably one of the easiest hikes i have ever done.less than a mile and well worth every step! Be careful in winter the trail does ice over! This is a fall that cane and should be enjoyed every season!

Dry, dry summer and everything's dead. One night of rain and the flowers cropped up the next day. All over the place!

Free Lensing can be a challenge. There are some limitations with certain G type lenses for Nikon cameras...so, what do you do in this case? Improvise. This was taken with a Nikon body and an older Canon lens. Quick shutter speed, lens held approximately 1/8 inch from camera body with tilt shift toward light source.

I rarely do B&W conversion... but it felt right for this shot.

This is an unedited photo I took while in a little patch of forest in the park nearby my house. I have never seen flowers like this and they reminded me of fireworks.

I have MANY photos of the passion flower they planted at my local coffee shop. I often come back to this one, taken late in the rainy season when the mildew has set in.

Samsung Droid with Snapseed

One of my favorite things to do in terms of photography is experiment...usually this means looking around the house and coming up with things that would be interesting to shoot. This idea came to me, and after creating a small, make-shift studio of sorts on my living room floor with a black backdrop and some camp lights, I was able to get the look that I was going for. This has since become one of my favorite images, and I have had it printed several times on several mediums for gallery shows.
