A great blue heron appears to be deep in thought. Actually he was fishing and now is contemplating the wisdom in staying so close to an approaching kayak. (me) The wind blew me silently closer until I was quite close.

I found this rather tricky as it was slightly windy and the rain droplets were so tiny, I could only just make out there was some pink in one of them and hoped for the best. The refracted image is of a potted azalea plant about 4 metres away sitting on the patio with foliage behind it. Every tiny movement I made, along with the wind blowing, meant it was difficult to maintain focus. I know I really should use a tripod but I like shooting freehand, I was therefore really thrilled with this. :D

I noticed this bee wasn't very energetic so I kept an eye on it to see whether it would fly away. When it didn't, I thought that perhaps it was really tired and lacking in energy so I went and got some sugared water. I went amongst the plants and tried not to trample them, then carefully spooned some water next to it. I tried to get the water as close as possible without getting it onto the bee for risk of hurting it. It still didn't move for the few minutes I kept watch over it so I smoothed the water over as close as I could. At last, the bee managed to draw enough energy to make a little lunge into the water. I then left it alone and just been to take a look and it's flown away! :D

Every Friday 13th there is a huge gathering of Motorcycle enthusiasts in Port Dover, Ontario. They pretty much take over the town for the day...and a lot of them pass right by my front door.....PHOTO OP!

#lightingchallenge I took this photo under a shaded tree to avoid the direct sunlight. It was also a more overcast day, no intense sunlight. I used white reflectors to enhance the light. I placed one in her lap and the other was held next to the side of her face.

This male Great Horned Owl, was sitting there, when I looked up and all I could see was his yellow eyes staring back.. Talk about a lucky shot, though. It was the only one I got, and the focus was perfect.

This lady sat so pretty for me as I snapped her picture. Then she just turned and screamed at me...lol

This is the setting for one of the exposures I combined to create this image.

This was my first real attempt at a composite using three photos Ive taken (the coffee cup, the background, and the baby infront of the laptop.

The leaf in the heart of dew that begins the autumn season.

Taken at Sunrise at Thor's Well. Settings we on auto as I made my way out to the rocks.

...between takes of a senior photo session where I asked her to use the frame and her own creativity...this was the initial reaction, and the title is verbatim...

I turned my lens around just for fun to see if the 2.0 could do reversed macro.. it can't, but the effect was truly stunning.

This was a digital trial shoot for some film work I was doing. I managed to capture the exact same image on film too! But destroyed it as part of some film experimentation.

What seed? I didn't see any seed.

This is the wheel whicht turns the beacon at the Split Rock Lighthouse, MN

Taken on holiday last year of a local filling glass ornaments and souvenirs with coloured sand.
As he sat in the shade of his small hut only his hand was visible against the light and briefly caught a glimpse of his face on the rare occasion he lifted his head.

Sitting at table in the park and I couldn't help but notice the textures within the wood. Time to experiment! That I did.

A hawk carrying away its lunch. I wasn't prepared for this, grabbed the camera as I drove by, and nearly went in a ditch pulling over to snap this. Shutter speed was too low to get a super sharp photo, and I'd usually discard this but I love that he has a fresh kill in his talons.
