Sought to limit my pallet to primary colors for this pair of early morning sunflowers just north of Denver International Airport.

Caught a fly having his breakfast at the center of an early morning sunflower. The field is just outside the north edge of Denver International Airport. Processed using Skylum Luminar 2018 RAW Develop and Golden Hour presets.

Found an east sloping field of ripening sunflowers in the earlier morning sun. Due to heavy forest fire overcast had to correct RAW files for red haze tint.

It's not really a sorbet obviously. However, the colour and softness did make me think of a refreshing mango sorbet.

I had heard about the famous Dalles Mountain Ranch. People from miles around come to shoot this old car. I knew that if I wanted a shot, I had to act fast. The flowers had already reached their peak. I got up at 5 and drove 2 hrs to this place. It was totally worth losing a little sleep over. When I see stuff like this, I often wonder about its story. I wonder who the people were, and how the car happen to be left here, and why. No matter what the story is, though our photographs, the memories live on.

Just a nice walk around Cardiff and you can find many colourful plants and flowers

I did this for fun to try out NIK and it is rather interesting.

This male Great Horned Owl, was sitting there, when I looked up and all I could see was his yellow eyes staring back.. Talk about a lucky shot, though. It was the only one I got, and the focus was perfect.

It was a beautiful early spring day to find acres of mustard strutting it's stuff. Truly amazing.

Rain followed by warm weather equals an early bloom!

I wanted to get a picture of a flower with lots of pink and yellow, but, this is all I could find.

Winter wheat straw is gathered into bales/rolls by local farmer/rancher for winter feed along Colorado's Front range near Denver Airport.

Straight out of cellphone. Spotted this cluster of yellow wildflowers along walking trail beside Highline Canal, Aurora, CO. My daughter and son-in-law had a rule of no stopping on their power walks, I did not follow the rule.

Drought resistance is the driving force in our selection of trees, bushes and flowers in our garden. Here the bedding flower was bred for high mesa areas, the Colorado Gold Gazania. Their rayed flowers close in the afternoon, also, called treasure flower.

Even though I'm not "entering" the yellow challenge, here's a bit of yellow anyway :)

Wawona Tunnel is the longest highway tunnel in the state of California (length is 4,233 ft). It is one of three main roads which provide access to Yosemite Valley. The tunnel exits to one of the most stunning and most photographed views of Yosemite.

An "orchard of gold" from the Central Valley of California. The photo was taken between the towns of Sanger and Reedley which are located in Fresno County. Agriculture is the main industry of the Central Valley and stands in stark contrast to the cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco. In 2014, Fresno County surpassed $7 Billion mark in gross value of all agricultural based commodities. Almonds, grapes, poultry and milk lead the agricultural values. In total Fresno County is home to 1.88 million acres of fertile farmland. Not only are the orchards beautiful during the fall, but are in full bloom during the spring.

A field in SE Alabama!

When the Ocean is calm, or the tide is low, Thor's Well can seem very tame. But in a matter of moments, it can become a very dangerous place. While there is some risk being that close to it, I love feeling the power it has, and watching the waves come crashing in.

These little yellow fish can be seen around almost every manhole in town. The local elementary schools all cut out fish and painted them onto the streets to label the drains that lead out to fresh water where the salmon run. Least that's what I heard. Each and every one is different from the next.

What is up, must come down.

generally I stay far far away from these but this one was busy enough to let me snap a few shots before getting pissy with me for being so close.
I left quickly.

While hiking along the Mason Dixon trail in York Pa. In the beginning of spring I came across this reminder of the past fall!

Took this shot of this young lady warming up before a game. She never takes her eyes from the ball.

This is a flower shot i made at the beginning of spring 2013 in a floral shop in York PA. Lighting was great,the colors popped like fireworks on the 4th of July.!

I don't know the name or type of flower but found it at 9,000 feet of elevation. No where else.

Don't know what they flowers are but they bud up in the center and have little pollen covered flower babies... It reminds me of something somewhere deep in my childhood memories I can't quite get a grasp on.

sometimes I have trouble choosing between colour and monochrome. In this case I am in a deadlock.

Just a picture of a little daisy with some dewdrops (stratigically placed dewdrops - always carry vegetable glycerin when shooting flowers).
