The shadow of the Rocky Mountains cloaks the houses of Green Valley Ranch while a building hailstorm in the distance is brightly lit above the horizon shadow line.

Taken near my home...lots of rain yesterday.

Caught this shot just before the rain began to fall...

I hadn't realised it, but donkey spring has arrived!

Shot on my Canon G16 compact when out on a dog walk. Shot into the light with a bit of underexposure to bring out the spray and white horses on the wave tops. Another reminder that the 'best camera' is whatever one you have with you at the time.

Taken on October 21, 2015. A severe thunderstorm just west of Jal heading Northeast...so towards me. Looking south to show the clear night sky over Jal on the left with the storm clouds on the right. Those weird tall things on the left side are the pieces of the sculpture north of town (You can drive right up to it).

While touring the snow damage of 2014 in York Pa. I spotted this cold and lonely bench .

Watched the California Storm roll in while at Sequoia National Park. I love that you can see the rain in the distance and the layers of mountain ranges. The sky opened up and dumped on our way down the hill!(image)

We all have our secret places...those retreats we visit when we want to forget the world. This is one of mine.

I didn't have to go very far to get this one...

Severe thunderstorms watches had been posted all day and in the afternoon, watches turned into warnings. The clouds were particularly intriguing to me, that day. I chose to take a drive into the country, to see what would make a good image. I chose to include the road because of the leading lines. Converted to back and white, the photo becomes dramatic!
