Can you spot the plane in the sky?

From a recent walkabout the neighborhood, this pine bough glows with late afternoon low sun. Strange to go through March with almost no snow here in Denver.

A quick stop in the morning to capture a favourite spot yesterday while it was snowing.

I see a climbing man on the branch.
This service berry tree was shocked by near zero temperatures and champagne powder snowfall. 1st frost was over 4 months ago, however, most of the days have been unseasonably warm, which fooled this and many other plants into beginning their spring growth.

I just couldn't resist the fog this morning, although by time I got out I had missed the best of it

March 24 2016, Southern Ontario hit with a Winter Storm of snow, ice pellets, rain and freezing rain which left us with numerous photo ops.

Denver, the winter weather Rodney Dangerfield of large cities in the USA. View out through our front window onto Green Valley Ranch street of blizzard snows blowing across streets and, due to stickiness, building up on tree branches out of the gusty winds.

So glad to have captured many shots of this particular site as it is not longer in existence, being replaced with housing.

This was taken at the Oklahoma City Zoo. Seemed like he just wanted his picture taken.

Out on my usual shooting adventure the other day. This guy was out in the snow covered sage, hunting I presume.

We had to drive to my hometown of Squaw Valley, CA. While there we noticed the surrounding mountains full of snow. We drove about 10 mins and came upon this area. He had never seen falling snow before. This photo perfectly captured the moment.

It was exciting to take a little day trip to the nearby foothills where it is almost looking like a Hallmark Christmas Card.

I think he was eyeing the coffee sitting below him. Either that are he was falling over from being asleep, lol.

A friend told me about this owl, so I had to go looking. It sure did not mind me there, although it did look a bit sleepy as I snapped some shots.

This very cheeky squirrel had shooed the birds away and proceeded to eat THEIR food! I snapped a couple of shots then he/she decided to leave. Camera-shy, I guess.

To say today was an excellent day for shooting Eagles would be an understatement. It was freaking awesome.

This Bald Eagle took off from its perch and gave me a perfect shot of it in flight.

It's been so mild for much of the time, I'm not sure whether these berries signify Winter or Spring.

Stopped to watch some deer in the sage. Noticed the horses, as they started towards me. The black certainly was in a hurry to get some petting.

Here in Central Washington, farms are now covering the historic wintering grounds for the elk. So, they feed them alfalfa hay during the winter behind fences that keep them out of the valley and destroying the hay fields and fences. We call them Welfare Elk..

I was so excited to wake up to a crisp and frosty Winter's morning, particularly as it was the weekend so I could go out and have some fun. I was focusing so hard, I didn't even realise my bare toes were on the frost. They don't appear to have gone black....yet. :)

Went out today, the weather was awesome. Patches of blue sky, temps in the upper 30s, the air was crisp and clear, the lighting was awesome. The Bald Eagles did not disappoint either.

It was snowing heavily today, as I was out looking for shots. Found these 4 fine gentlemen out feeding on a hillside.

Immature Bald Eagle, spitting out the hair of a dead deer or elk, as it was digging in the snow for a meal.

Nature is not always pretty and nice. It can be ugly at times. Animals kill and eat other animals.. it is how nature is.

Scratch another 1 off my list. Was driving looking for something to shoot. Saw something on a fence post ahead, thought it was just a small hawk. Surprise, Surprise... Short-eared Owl. In the snow, no less.

Winter 2015 in Niagara Falls, NY. There is no snow to be seen, and the temperatures in the 50s F. But we saw a beautiful rainbow.

I woke up to some very dramatic clouds this morning. We had a dusting of snow overnight and the clouds, floating in the sky this morning, are most def snow clouds! Hoping for a white Christmas.

The leaves are still changing color here...it's feeling more and more like Christmas is on the way :)

Every Christmas someone decorates this lonely tree on an otherwise uninhabited stretch of road. The other day I stopped to have a look.

One of the many perfectly decorated homes in the little Village of Arroyo Grande on California's Central Coast.

The seasons, they change, like leaves fallen from trees ready for winter sleep...and so too is life, an ever changing thing.

This was teken tonight here in Nashua NH of a house down the street from mine. Its one of the more decorated ones around..Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas besides no white stuff which I am not complaining about...

During the Thanksgiving weekend, my brother and I decided to do the "opt out" thing. Instead of hitting the Malls, we went hiking. It was a windy and bitter cold day, but the hike in wasn't too bad. Once we got there, I did not feel the cold any more. I was too busy being in the moment. The thing that made this hike even more special, was I was able to hike with my brother. He lives in Denver, and is also a Photographer, so this was a real treat for me.

Using the leftover turkey carcass, I decided to make a soup for family.

Meads Mill is a favourite spot for many. There's an old gatehouse and a small waterfall. It's where I practice long exposures.
